The Import & Export Coordinator Role:

A rare and exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain team in Distrupol at a time of growth and change. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight in line with post-Brexit legislation to ensure the seamless flow of goods in and out of the UK.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

+ Coordinates international air, sea and land freight transactions
+ Assist supply chain teams preparing Import/Export documentation for intercompany movements including but not limited to Letters of Credit, Shipping Letter of Instruction, invoices and packing lists
+ Works with material suppliers to facilitate frictionless border crossings of materials
+ Applies harmonized codes and import/export licensing as required
+ Maintains the shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information on request
+ Interfaces with brokers and freight forwarders to obtain compliance with company requirements
+ Works with local customs agents as required
+ Coordinate with internal departments to ensure shipments are consistent with customer requirements, to support the timely delivery and to communicate to the field regarding order requests
+ Prepares Shipping paperwork as well as completes shipping transactions in SAGE (and other systems if required)
+ Ensures all Master data is up-to-date and accurate in SAGE

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in international freight transactions in a fast-paced, commercial environment. A highly analytical individual with strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the business. Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office systems experience is essential.
