Our International pharmaceutical client is looking for an experienced Commercial Training and Development Manager to support the Oncology Business Group in delivery of commercial training at a local/cross country level for the United Kingdom, Ireland, Nordics and the Netherlands.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* To drive commercial effectiveness for OBG in the United Kingdom, ROI, Nordics and the Netherlands
* To lead product training, adapted from regional programmes, for several new indication launches of the Oncology portfolio, leveraging members of the medical and marketing team and external experts to help deliver engaging training
* To identify training / development needs of the sales force and managers and design and deliver effective learning and development solutions and where necessary manage the outsourcing of the design and delivery of such learning solutions e.g. coaching, remote selling skills, preceptorships
* To design and deliver soft skills training for the United Kingdom, ROI, Nordics and the Netherlands employees, as may be required from time to time and in agreement with the EMEA Learning and Development Department
* Engaging with the OBG Team members to effectively plan the required training and working with the Commercial Effectiveness Director, OBG and other Commercial Training and Development Managers in OBG across EMEA to ensure consistent implementation across the team
* Work in collaboration with Compliance to ensure training is delivered aligned to CIPD standards and evaluated as part of the training cycle across OBG in the United Kingdom, ROI, Nordics and the Netherlands and meets all compliance standards across all countries
Skills & Experience required:
* Degree or equivalent in Training / Education, Science and/or Business preferred
* Excellent track record and sustained experience in pharmaceutical healthcare training
* Sound understanding of the ABPI code of Practice
* Proven track record of delivering high quality training related work with tangible outcomes
* Sound understanding of Oncology
* First line sales management experience or marketing skills preferred
* Able to get on with others and be a team-player having the ability to work within a team and independently
* Excellent project management skills
* Enjoys both product training and soft skills training
* Able to demonstrate the motivation and drive to achieve challenging work related goals and reach positive business results, pushing work to completion in fast changing, pressurised environment
* Understands the principles of marketing and features-benefits-solutions selling
* Appreciates need for consistency across the company's people and portfolio training needs including selling and training ideas, courses, programmes and products
* Experience of managing external training agencies and activities desirable
* Resilient, reliable, tolerant and determined with a high degree of proactive initiative with a sense of urgency
