THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Planner for a role on a global FMCG brand. Working directly into the Head of Planning, you will lead the day-to-day business on variety of accounts, including strategic development, research, creative brief writing, and connections strategy. You will be responsible for the effectiveness output of the advertising the agency develops.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the strategic direction of the brands they are working on, developing end to end brand strategy
  • Lead the strategic development of communications for the brands, and be instrumental in helping to shape the creative development of the work
  • Lead research, both qualitative and quantitative to both develop and test new communications approaches
  • Be a partner to the client business beyond the communications – as required
  • Be a leader in the brand teams helping to develop talent and build teams

YOU

You are a Senior Planner with 6+ years’ experience in building brands. You will be the central driving force on the campaigns you work on - ensuring the work is effective and creatively brilliant. You will need to provide surefooted strategic guidance of significant campaigns: presenting to clients, briefing creatives, you regularly deliver creatively brilliant campaigns that couldn’t have happened without your input and guidance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working on a Petcare brand from briefing to execution is essential
  • Significant experience on FMCG brands
  • Experience in working on global brands with many markets & stakeholders, from briefing to execution, is critical
  • Experience in working on brands which have a presence in both EU & APAC regions is critical, along with experience in delivering campaigns in those markets
  • Knowledge & experience using MARS and/or Unilever frameworks, or others of a similar style
  • Experience in mentoring & developing more Junior members of a team
  • A strong understanding of the principles of “How Brands Grow” & Binet + Field, and ability to apply these principles
  • Contributed to the delivery of at least two high-profile award-winning campaigns that were recognised for their effectiveness
  • Experience required in writing award-winning creative briefs
  • Experience required in leading both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experienced required in regularly presenting strategic ideas to clients
  • Strong ability in writing strategic recommendations in answer to a client brief
