We are a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands.  We offer high quality services that support both recovery and wellbeing and we actively work with people so that they can be in control of their lives.  With respect for the individual at the forefront of all the work we do, Birmingham Mind has a well-earned reputation for excelling in quality.

With over 50 years’ experience of supporting people with mental health difficulties within our local community, we always strive to challenge the stigma that surrounds mental distress.

We are currently recruiting a Domestic Enablement Worker to work in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties on an individual basis, using a person centred recovery approach that focuses on maintaining and strengthening their domestic skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high quality environmental standards across all areas of the care home in order to provide a friendly, clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors to the home.

Essential requirements include experience in a domestic / cleaning role, a good understanding of health and safety regulations and a positive attitude and commitment to working with people with mental health difficulties, ensuring that choice, dignity and respect is maintained and promoted.

Benefits include 33 days holiday increasing to 37 days with length of service (this includes Bank and Public holidays), an Employee Assistance Programme, Paycare (which offers employees affordable cover for a range of healthcare treatments) and a comprehensive training programme.

If you feel that you are the right person for this role we would love to hear from you.

Our people are key to the success of the organisation and we are recognised as both a Mindful Employer as well as achieving Gold standard success in Investors in People. We welcome applications from people who have experienced mental health difficulties.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 25 October 2020
