SES Water supplies 160 million litres of fresh water to over 735,000 people across Kent, Surrey and South London every day.

With a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century, we began by supplying water to individual parishes before merging and expanding throughout the next 150 years until today. We now maintain over 2,000 miles of water mains and manage eight treatment works, 23 pumping stations and 31 reservoirs and water towers.

This support will be further extended on a daily basis by giving you direct access to experienced team members who will mentor you, as well as formal training in regulations and legislation.

The role:

- Salary of up to £30,000 per annum DOE

As a Water Regulations Specialist, you’ll help to ensure that we continue to operate in line with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

As a member of our Inspections Team, you’ll work closely work with our Developer Services Team, who are responsible for preparing estimates for new connections, and liaise with Developers.

Reporting to the Network Manager, you will:

- Spend around 75% of your role completing site visits and the remaining 25% in the office
- Provide support that will inform decisions or updates to our Water Regulations Policy
- Ensure that new connections comply with regulations

About you:

- A strong customer focus, an understanding of the commercial perspective and what drives developers and the ability to manage expectations in line with regulatory requirements and policies

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the water industry and knowledge of regulations
- A full, valid driving licence

Knowledge of the Water Industry Act 1991 would be beneficial to your application.
