Deputy Children's Care Home Manager
Manage and support the staff team in consultation with the registered Manager, administrative requirements and services to young people with individual support needs and mentoring for all staff.
Act as a key contact to staff and external professionals and parents, support business functions as required by the manager, liaise with the manager directly on key and complex issues that require immediate action, including matters of safeguarding, health & safety staff and Child well-being.
Support (and at times undertake) the supervision process of all staff / workers to ensure staff are supported, the delivery of quality services and that the home maintain the level of supervision required by regulatory bodies such as Ofsted.
Take a lead role in the development and delivery of quality of services and represent home to the highest possible professional standard.
Assist with the support and development of key staff competencies and needs, prepare and submit reports and sustain good book keeping including, the management of rosters. Check all monitoring systems, monthly paperwork updates, food hygiene, H&S, Fire Checks, Care Plans, risk assessments etc.
Manage services for which the post-holder has direct responsibility and represent the Children at review meetings to ensure effective delivery of service delivery within an agreed care plan.
Lead on the monitoring and evaluation of reports and recordings ensuring accuracy and prompt submission of reports and the quality of service delivery.
Work in close partnership with external organisations including private and voluntary groups, local authorities and Social work teams
