Nursery Nurse (Level 3)

Westminster

October Start

Timeplan is currently working with an outstanding children's centre in Westminster, who are recruiting qualified Nursery Nurses for daily and long-term requirements. They will consider both full and part time staff.

The centre caters for students aged 0-5 with ASD, SLD and PMLD. They provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to play, learn and grow.

Shortlisted candidates must have previous SEN experience, especially with PMLD and complex needs. You will be providing 1:1 and group support for both mainstream and SEN children. Due to the medical needs of some children experience of PEG feeding and manual handling would be desirable. Personal care is mandatory and a responsibility that must be carried out by all staff. Many of the children are non-verbal, therefore experience of PECs and Makaton is advantageous.

All staff will be required to work a few 9-6pm shifts per week; however, they will offer shifts of 9-4pm, 9-4.30pm and 12-6pm.

The centre is looking for dedicated and compassionate staff, who are willing to work to a high standard. In return, they will offer excellent pay rates and a friendly working environment.

Key skills and experience needed:

Qualified Nursery Nurse
Experience supporting children with PMLD and complex needs
Previous support work within a nursery, school, or other child related experience
One to one and small group work
Professional manor
Enthusiasm and friendly approachThe centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS if your current DBS is not on the update service.

Timeplan is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and therefore will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation.
