An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 staff nurse to join the Edith Cavell team at Maidstone Hospital.
Edith Cavell lis a Respiratory COVID Ward and the team consists of doctors, nurses, trainee nursing associates, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and a flow co-ordinator who all work closely to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care and have safe and effective discharges.
The successful candidate must work well in a team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and relatives/carers. You will be required to be receptive to change, dynamic and demonstrate active assistance and support to your more senior colleagues in the on-going development of the department.
You will be supported by your Clinical Matron and Ward Sister in your continued personal development with training opportunities. We are also seeking individuals who can demonstrate our Trust Values- Patient First, Respect, Innovation, Delivery, Excellence.
If you are a registered nurse who is compassionate and are ready for a new and exciting challenge this could be the ideal post for you.
You will be expected to attend the Trust's Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic, lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at enhanced level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
