Job Title: Materials Handler (Forklift)
Location: Bridgwater
Salary: This is a permanent vacancy with a starting salary of GBP22,390
Hours: 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm 4 on 4 off
Our very well established client are currently recruiting for a MATERIALS HANDLER to join their busy team.
As a materials handlers your duties will be:
The day-to-day management of:
Despatch
Goods Inwards
Stock Control
Raw Materials
To pick, load and record details of goods for despatch in line with company policy and practice as required in an effective manner in line with the necessary disciplines required
To receive, unload and record details of raw materials, packaging and other goods in line with company policy and practice as required in an effective manner in line with the necessary disciplines required
To assist with reconciliation of levels of stock of raw materials (including packaging), finished goods and waste are consistent with the theoretical stock levels on a regular basis and discrepancies are both communicated to the appropriate responsible person and causes of any discrepancy are investigated
To work safely to ensure that the Company's determination to eliminate accidents and any injury to personnel is maintained within the respective operations to ensure continual reduction in all risks associated with the working environment
To work within the guidelines for effective implementation of the companies quality, environmental and hygiene policies
To liaise closely with others to ensure that we meet our Company objectives as set out in the Business Plan
All other reasonable requests from Manager
The preferred candidate will need to be and have:
Confident working on there own but also as part of a team
Forklift Licence
Team player
Good at making quick decisions
Accuracy
Clear and confident communication skills
Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-moving environment
Reliable
