Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Salary: GBP36,400 - GBP39,000 depending on experience

We are currently working in partnership with a high profile government sponsored national project in the Milton Keynes area, due to an increase in their business needs, we require a Senior Procurement officer to support in supplier negotiations.

Current contract length for this position is 6 months with a possible extension

The Role:

Developing and managing a plan for the supply chain from tenders through to award Liaising with suppliers to provide regular updates. Working closely with the finance team and the department of Health and Social Care to ensure procurement legislation is adhered to.

Reviewing key suppliers and spend projections.

Working closely with the procurement manager to design and implement supplier SLA's and KPI's to drive improvement.

It is essential candidates have the below experience

CIPS Level 5 or 6 Diploma

Previous experience in public sector procurement Experience of OJEU forms and Contracts finder website Experience of running a tender process to award

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Capability to work under pressure and pro-actively prioritise tasks

Advanced Excel skills

Ability to work to procedures

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Confidence to engage with internal stakeholders and the ability to work well within a team Time management skills, enabling tasks to be completed to agreed
