They are now looking for a Logistics Planning Manager to join their head office team based out of Amersham. This is a MAT cover role for 12 months, with possible scope for extension. Reporting into the Head of Planning & Allocation and with a direct report to manage the Logistics Planning Manager will be responsible for trading the current range in order to maximise sales across all trading channels whilst ensuring maximum availability. As Logistics Planning Manager you will be responsible for delivering optimum sales by reviewing sales and stock forecasts at store/channel level and executing stock balancing activities in line with company strategy. You will be responsible for building capability within the planning and allocation organisation by ensuring individual development and training needs are met. This role will have an International focus looking after planning & allocation of stock for a partner brand in Europe who have 45 stores and are growing.

Responsibilities - Logistics Planning Manager

- Create and implement Planning & Allocation forward plan that meets the specific channel commercial performance requirements.

- Identify, build and maintain key internal/external stakeholder relationships to deliver an ongoing optimum stock position.

- Analyse store performance to ensure optimal stock support to drive sales and manage store stock levels accordingly.

- Identify and own key sales volumes forecasts at channel level, in collaboration with the Buying and Marketing teams for new ranges, seasons and promotions.

- Help to ensure effective and accurate planning of inbound/outbound stock flow to create a dynamic and ever-changing mix of product to create the best customer experience.

- Ensure all system development changes are effectively tested and implemented.

- Partnering with Retail Operations, area and store managers to ensure stores are supported in achieving sales targets and to address issues and opportunities.

- Coaching and mentoring the team to deliver with confidence and competence

- Analysis and reporting as requested by your line manager.

- Participate in channel specific trading meetings, collaborate with partner team.

Desired Skills - Logistics Planning Manager

- Minimum of 4 years previous merchandising experience gained within a fast-moving retail brand

- International demand planning and allocation is preferred although not essential to the role.

- Demonstrate a high degree of tenacity and drive and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast paced and pressurised environment.

- Commercially aware with excellent communication skills and numerate with data. Advanced Excel is necessary.

- A proven track record of managing junior team members effectively ensuring development of individuals.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- An ability to understand and speak Spanish would be a welcome bonus but is not essential for the role.

You will be a commercially aware Logistics Planning Manager with previous experience within a comparable merchandising/planning/logistics role, with an ability to quickly gain a good understanding of systems and processes as well as strong communication skills. You will need to combine your commercial knowledge and awareness of our product ranges with a natural ability to build strong working relationships to deliver a first-class service. You will achieve this through commercial and effective stock management. You will be open and reactive to change and able to manage multiple projects.
