Opportunity Overview...
We are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join our busy Sales operationto recruit, develop and subsequently oversee our team of Hybrid Account Managers. The team are responsible for both proactive account management with a strong focus on the retention and growth of a small number of accounts within OGL's existing customer base, plus the acquisition of new customers to OGL.
OGL has been delivering technology solutions to organisations across the UK for over 40 years from IT solutions and support services to cyber security and our own ERP software. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for new, established talent to embrace, support and lead the team, to sell new technologies in a fast-moving, progressive environment.
Reporting to our Head of Existing Business, you will be working in a high performing, fast paced environment whilst leading and inspiring your team of Hybrid Account Managers. In turn, your team will be building positive, long lasting working relationships with customers in order to proactively recommend and provide appropriate IT and security solutions. In addition, they will be growing their customer base by generating new business opportunities from customer referrals and by networking with companies in the neighbouring areas.
You will have a successful track record in achieving sales targets and be able to demonstrate that you are ready to make the transition into your first management role. You will also have a background in IT, Cyber Services or Telecommunications. More importantly you will have a passion for sales and the ability to inspire, coach and support your team to ensure maximum success. Developing a motivated and well-disciplined sales team, you will continuously look for opportunities to mentor individuals to effectively own and manage their accounts whilst continuously developing their capabilities further.
Developing an in-depth expertise in sales coaching, you will set a high bar for excellent results and will work with each of your team to achieve the same. You will strive for continuous improvement, always working out ways to develop your teams' skills and results. You'll be supported within the role and we'll ensure that you receive product and IT training to fully support you in leading by example and bringing the best out in others.
Key Responsibilities???
* Lead, inspire and support a small team of Hybrid Account Managers
* Identify training needs and knowledge gaps, working with your team to overcome barriers to sales
* Coach team members on the best ways to carry out their duties by transferring expert knowledge to boost their new business skills
* Work closely with other Sales Managers and Senior Sales Managers across the department to ensure collaborative success
* Achieve monthly and quarterly targets by maximising all opportunities
* Keep up to date with technological developments to ensure you're able to advise your team on the latest trends to give them a competitive edge
Skills & Experience???
* Previous experience within an IT or communications environment is desirable
* Classically sales trained and a proven expert in sales. Must be able to demonstrate a consultative/solution sale led approach
* Demonstrable and stable track record of sales success, detailing specific sales achievements
* Previous experience of working with and the aspiration to lead a successful and high-performing sales team
* Confident, self-motivated, target-driven and a team player
* A commitment to creating a first-class customer service environment
* Passionate about technology
* Strong organisational skills
* Able to adapt quickly in a dynamic and demanding sales environment and maintain a high performing culture
* Passionate about maximising sales opportunities by motivating your team
* Ability to analyse data to proactively to set KPI's for the team to achieve
