Based in Norwich our client is a leading technical specialist who now have a new requirement for a Stores Person.
Paying 9ph at 39.5hrs per week
Immediate starts ( 4 weeks work initially )
Working within the Stores & Production Department assisting in a range of activities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Job Activities
1.
Assembling and wiring electro-mechanical units.
2.
Assembling and soldering electronic components into printed circuit boards.
3.
Picking component parts to form sub-assembly kits on occasions when support is required in the Stores Department.
4.
Carrying out other tasks as may be reasonably required.
5.
Carrying out goods inwards duties as required.
6.
Placing items received into their stock location with adequate protection to ensure quality is not compromised.
7.
Picking component parts to form both electronic and mechanical sub-assembly kits.
8.
Assisting in stock control.
9.
Dealing with general material control issues including participating in stock-take.
Responsibilities
1. Ensuring that tasks are dealt with accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Ensuring that all rejects and shortages are reported accurately and in a timely manner.
3. Ensuring the continued flow of materials to production.
4. Ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety regulations as detailed in the Company Rulebook.
Person Description
The person carrying out this role must:
5. Have an attention to detail and an ability to work accurately.
6. Be able to follow formal procedures.
7. Be competent in using a computer to view stock control system information.
8. Be willing to learn how to operate the equipment within the Stores.
9. Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
