Division Manufacturing
Reporting to Weld Team-leader
Post Definition/Purpose
The post holder is responsible for working to strict safety and quality requirements to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer requirements with some supervision from a team-leader.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate robotic welding equipment by loading and unloading press components to achieve hourly build targets to meet customer requirements.
* Pack components into stillage's ensuring all completed assemblies are labelled correctly for despatch by adhering to G-Tekt labelling & packaging policies and procedures.
* Actively participate in training and development activities identified for either personal and/or team development advancement.
* Accurately complete all required production paper-work.
* To be prepared to undertake and support other reasonable requests made by the company.
Skills & Abilities
Essential:
* Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and complete required production paper-work.
* Able to work within tight deadlines and with minimum supervision.
* Adaptable and flexible to work across multiple manufacturing areas to support business requirements in a professional manner.
* Possess good eye for detail - the ability to quickly identify quality defects, process change points etc.
* Able to make a positive contribution to the team/department.
* Shows openness, honesty and has a collaborative approach when working with others around the business.
* Is resilient, optimistic and open to challenge.
* Must be able to work shifts
Qualifications & Experience
Desirable:
* Previous experience of working in a fast-paced mass production environment.
* Previous experience of operating robotic and pedestal welders an advantage
* Previous experience of working to production targets.
* Package
* 25 days holiday (mostly fixed with plant shut downs) + 8 Bank holidays
* 37.5 hour week.
* Fixed Term contract potentially ongoing.
* Potential for advancement in Company.
* Overtime (up to 1.5 hours compulsory overtime per day depending on business need)
* Monthly paid
* 20% premium on PM shift
* Workwear provided
* Working a 2 shift pattern rota.
AM - 06.00am - 14.50pm - Monday to Thursday
06.00am - 12.10pm - Friday
PM - 16.20pm - 01.05am - Monday to Thursday
12.40pm - 19.10pm - Friday
