This is an exciting career opportunity to manage the prestigous Builders Merchants and Decorative centre at Colchester which is also part of the head office site.
It's growing rapidly and expanding so it's very exciting times for this Branch.
We have DECORATING, GLASS AND BUILDING CENTRES with diverse sites throughout Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Norfolk. They are able to meet the needs of the professional builder and decorator, and those of private customers too.
As the Branch Manager you will need a sound knowledge of the decorating industry and/or Builders Merchants with the tenacity to deliver objectives and achieve targets.
Leading and developing a team, you will manage and motivate the team to achieve branch and company objectives which includes performance reviews, appraisals and disciplinary meetings. Gaining up-to-date knowledge of area developments and competitor activity, you will create, manage and develop a branch business plan and work with Management to agree the branch budget. Developing sales to agreed levels, through new and existing business, you will pro-actively market the business for the branch and control and where possible reduce costs by managing stock to agreed levels.
Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, you will deal with customer queries, projects and complaints in a prompt and effective manner, consistently meeting customer requirements. You will build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, merchandisers and other partners and organise events and initiatives to promote good relations and sales development.
You must have strong management experience yet be happy to be hands on.
Applicants must have the ability to identify new market and product opportunities and provide excellent customer service. This will require good communication both internally and externally.
