Infrastructure Support Technician (Home and Business)
Salary GBP25,000 to GBP30,000 dependent on experience + Statutory pension scheme

Full time position Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30
Purpose of the position
To provide on-site installation support as well as first and second line support to our home and business customers.
Day to Day operations
On a day to day basis you will be:
??Diagnosing and repairing IT systems;
??Providing onsite/telephone and remote support to our customer base;
??Associated administrative duties.
??Maintenance and installation of infrastructure projects to our business customers.
??Working on site helping to install and configure infrastructure services.
Key interfaces
This role is to support our Business and Home support technicians.You will alternate between business and home customers helping them with their IT systems, hardware and software.Furthermore, you will be helping our installation team to install and configure infrastructure works on client premises.
Experience
* A minimum of 2 years' Managed Services Support experience;
* You must be confident with a vast variety of Tech and associated software packages;
* You'll need a calm and confident telephone manner;
* Overall, you will responsible in the Management and maintenance of Server and Business Network infrastructures;
* You will be able to repair and configure a variety of PC and Mac hardware.
??Cat 6 and fibre cable installations, with experience in Coax and BT cabling preferred
??Rodding and roping ducting, cable pulling
??Terminating, splicing and testing fibre along with Cat 5/6 cable terminations to industry standards using fluke testing equipment/certification.
Accreditations.
* Ideally, we would like you to have a Microsoft Accredited qualifications;
* Any formal training in the repair, installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
Specialist Skills/Attributes
* A willingness to learn installation, testing of Cat 5e/6/6a, fibre optic solutions within small to medium businesses
* General interest of network hardware, such as Network Switches, WiFi Access Points, Firewall
* Outstanding customer empathy
* Good persuasive and influencing skills
* Highly organised
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* A natural ability with numbers
* Strong people skills, you'll need to work well with management, colleagues and engineers
* Advanced knowledge of PC hardware and software
* An ability to explain technical issues in a way that clients can understand
* A thorough understanding of DHCP, DNS and IP based networks is essential
??You will have a high standard of literacy and good numeracy skills
??You will be a self-starter with an ability to work unsupervised
??Enthusiasm, self -motivation, commitment and a strong work ethic are essential
??Have an active mind for technology, which is more than an interest in computers and hardware. You need to understand the industry, trends and latest products, methods, benefits etc
Salary and Conditions:
Salary GBP25,000 to GBP30,000 dependent on experience.Statutory pension scheme.
Full time position Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.
28 days holiday including public holidays per year taken at set intervals in agreement with the Company.Additional holidays will be accrued for loyalty to the business.
This position is permanent.
