STRATEGIC SOURCING MANAGER
An industrial manufacturer is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their team in Wolverhampton. The innovative company produces and implements a wide variety of products for a number of interesting markets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for the development of strategic sourcing plans including make vs buy inputs, supplier identification and selection, negotiating and closing high value long term agreements, and supplier partnership and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager your key duties will include:
* Leading the development of strategic sourcing plans simultaneously for multiple commodity groups
* Supporting and making recommendations to facilitate Make vs Buy strategy decisions
* Evaluating global market environment
* Leading the development and management of commodity strategic plans to achieve business requirements
* Identifying, selecting and developing strategic supplier partnerships to generate new supplier capability or competency to generate competitive advantage
* Managing the Supplier Relationship supported by Regional Management
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be considered for the role of Strategic Sourcing Manager, you must have:
* A bachelor's degree in the fields of engineering, supply chain or business
* Experience related to the management of programs or complex contracts
* Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to engage and influence the right organisational resources and behaviours
* Knowledge and experience in problem solving, continuous improvement and lean principles (desirable)
