Working in a commercial environment in the Ripon area your role as the Site / Facilities Manager will be to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the facilities function. We seek a highly organised and effective people manager but also a candidate who is happy to work in a hands on capacity when required.
As the Site / Facilities Manager you will:
Oversee 2 site supervisors on a day to day basis, allocating and ensuring the quality of work
Cover shifts during holiday periods to ensure the building runs as planned this could include doing small maintenance tasks and ensuring is opened and closed.
Ensure the cleaning teams are working to standard and in line with latest guidelines
Manage small works, selecting and overseeing all contractors on site to ensure standards of work and that projects run smoothly to deadline and within budget
Undertake all health and safety tasks including auditing, ensuring compliance statutory inspections, risk assessments and checks
Manage premises budgets, processing purchase orders, checking work done in respect of payment of invoices
Ensure work is carried out in line with PPM schedules
Manage all waste requirements in line with ISO standards
Ensure accurate records including Legionella testing/ risk assessment, fire and water safety checks
Monitor and check energy and water consumption to ensure efficiency
Checking of alarms and fire equipment and ensuring emergency procedures.
Check and control system functions, regularly check heating system, with due regard to appropriate safety requirements, report all defects to qualified heating engineer.
As the Site / Facilities Manager you will:
Have a proven record of accomplishment in managing Health & Safety
Have experience of managing commercial site
Have experience of the selection and management of contractors
Have experience of managing teams, planning & allocating workflow, coordinating the work
Have experience of managing small construction / refurbishment projects
Be IT literate and confident using MS office and other reporting systems
Be commercially and financially aware and used to working to strict budgets
Ideally hold a relevant IOSH / NEBOSH qualification or be working towards
Ideally hold an Enhanced DBS check to be happy to undertake one
