CNC Programmer (Miller) (Heidenhain)
The company
A well established privately-owned manufacturing company who specialise in subcontract CNC machining, supporting a range of industries including Automotive, Defence and the wider general manufacturing sector. Due to significant recent investment, an increase in orders and the purchase of brand new state of the art CNC machinery, the company are looking to add a CNC machinist to their stable team.
The role
A CNC Programmer (Miller) (Heidenhain) is now required to join the team, with a variety of hours/shifts available to suit the successful applicants, including a four day week Monday-Thursday.
You will take responsibility for:
One off's and small batch production
Working on a CNC brand new 3 + 2 axis CNC Machining Centre
Machining a range of materials including, Mild Steel, Stainless steel and Nickel Alloys such as Invar
Working with a range of parts, which include heavy fabrications
Working with full autonomy, taking responsibility for own work and programming from scratch
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
A strong understanding of CNC Programming (Heidenhain), setting & operating
Previous experience within a heavy machining/subcontract machining environment- Candidates from sectors including Automotive, Power Generation, Aerospace, Oil & Gas are highly encouraged to apply
Experience of CNC Milling is essential
It is ESSENTIAL that candidates are comfortable with large work up to 3-4 metres. Previous experience with heavy machinery/Fabrications would be desirable
