My North East based client brings to the market an extensive installation and maintenance facility, with a client portfolio of main contractors, electrical contractors and end users (blue chip organisations and small/medium enterprises). They install and maintain Fire, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Traffic Management and Safety Systems. They have traded since May 1999 and are a NSI Gold, BAFE and ISO Accredited for industry standards and in addition to these are also accredited with CHAS and Construction line for Health and Safety Matters.
The company are now looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to cover the Cumbria area (ideally candidates will live in the area for Kendal to the Borders). The role will involve the installation and servicing of both fire and security systems (intruder alarms, CCTV and access control). The sites are almost exclusively non residential such as retail, factories and educational establishments. The client will train candidates who are currently Fire or Security systems specialist and train them in the other discipline. The role holder is also included in the call out rota.
Experience of the following equipment would be useful but isn't essential Galaxy and Pyronix intruder panels, Hikvision, Paxton access control, Apollo and Kentec fire panels, although a good general knowledge is required.
Salary GBP28,500, call out standby, overtime, van, phone, laptop, test equipment, drill, uniform, 20 days holiday and auto enrol pension
