Introduction

S Knights recruitment are proud to be working with an established adult education provider who deliver nationally-recognised qualifications. They are passionate about helping improve employability by delivering government-funded courses for adults across the UK. They are looking for a Functional Skills tutor to join their team.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and high quality teaching of Functional Skills in a classroom environment and virtual (Zoom)
- Provide appropriate level of support to individuals including some out of hours service.
- Marking learner work and assessments and providing constructive criticism
- Make records in the CRM system
- Carry out a skills gap scan to ensure learners are on track with their learning
- Monitoring engagement and attendance of learners
- Create reports to staff to show progression at reviews
- Create additional resources and activities to enable learners to progress further

Experience and Skills

-Teaching Qualification - Level 3 (Minimum)
-Literacy/Numeracy Specialism Qualification - Level 5
-ICT (minimum Level 2)
-Proven record of delivering Adult Education
-Experienced and comfortable in presenting in a virtual classroom
-Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
-Solid understanding of Safeguarding, GDPR and Data Protection
- Evidenced Quality First Teaching
- Proven experience of maintain CRM records
