THE COMPANY
This company is a large International Building Services Consultancy with offices across the globe and they offer a comprehensive range of M&E Building Services, spanning the entirety of a building's lifecycle. Alongside a traditional M&E Consultancy offering, they pride themselves on an innovative approach and differentiate themselves by providing solutions such as: feature lighting, good indoor air quality systems, energy efficient systems and resilient designs. The company work with all stages of M&E Building Services, including; Concept, feasibility, design, construction, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, refurbishment, disposal and acquisition. They are now looking to add to their team by recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
THE ROLE:
This role is a Senior role within the company, and you will be working alongside an electrical Counterpart who is also relatively new to the business. You will be the Mechanical Lead on all projects, and the goal for this role is for it to develop into a mentoring role through bringing in more junior engineers and helping them develop their skills and career. Initially however, this is a 'hands on' role, where you will be in charge of tasks such as: Calculating heat loss/gains, calculating U Values, Ventilation system design, heating/chilled water system design and delivering BREEAM rates projects.
THE PERSON:
The majority of the work is based within the Healthcare sector and so if you have that experience, then that would be advantageous. Ideally, the company is looking for someone who has a good level of Mechanical Building Services experience, working on projects ranging in value from GBP3 - 10 Million. Also, someone who has worked in a mentoring role would be advantageous, and someone who has experience of using AutoCAD and/or REVIT MEP and/or Navisworks.
