Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for a number of Class 1 Day Container Drivers. This role would be a Monday to Friday role and will be running from NOW to March. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for consistent work through these difficult times.
The role as a Class 1 Driver:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is looking for a role that is Monday to Friday and has their weekends off. As the Class 1 Driver driver you will be required to carry out a vehicle inspection before the start of every shift and report any defects to the transport manager. You will be asked to do a number of roles which can include shunting of vehicles or delivering and collecting of containers. Customer service is a key factor to our client as you will be delivering to some high profile companies across the nation. Please factor in this role is 12 hour shifts therefore please ensure you can complete the whole shift throughout the week. Start time will be 6am and be finishing around 6pm and good understanding of how things work around the docks will be beneficial.
Requirements of the Class 1 Day Container Driver:
* Valid UK Cat C+E Licence (Class 1)
* Valid Digi Tacho Card
* Valid CPC
* Valid DP World Certificate
* Driving experience in containers would be ideal
* No more than 6 points on your licence
* Great customer service skills
* Be able to work 12 hour shifts
Benefits available to the Class 1 Day Container Driver:
* Your choice of PAYE or LTD Company
* Weekly pay
* Discounted CPC and licence upgrading for on-going drivers
* Minimum of 8 hours per shift
* No weekend work
* Monday to Friday
