Our client is a leading heavy industry manufacturer and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer (Supervisor).

The successful applicant will oversee the electrical maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Sheffield.

The Role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be the link between senior management and the shift maintenance team. As an experienced electrical engineer you will provide hands-on maintenance support and assist with the personal development and skill base of the maintenance engineers.

In addition you will be required to undertake various improvement projects where you will work under your own initiative to develop ideas and implement change.

You will organise a team of engineers to ensure the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance for a busy machining and heat treatment factory.

Furnaces (Induction, Rollover, Heat Treatment etc.)
Conveyors, motors, inverters
CNC machinery lathes, milling and grinding
PLC's and controls Siemens, Allen Bradley
Relays, timers, sensors, switch gear
3 phase electrical fault find and repair
Hydraulics, pneumatic controls
Motors, inverters. pumps, valvesThe role will offer a rich variety of work and projects and will suit experienced electrical engineer with some supervisory experience.

Candidates:

The successful candidate will have previous electrical maintenance experience ideally in heavy industry environment such as waste & recycling, steel, quarry & aggregates, mining or foundry sectors.

We are seeking applicants who have excellent plc and controls skills ideally programming Siemens & Allen Bradley. Knowledge of foundry and CNC machinery advantage.

You will be a team player and you will demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferably you will hold 18th Edition certification and ideally you will have some supervisory experience.
