A leading food manufacturer in the Leicester area is looking to add a Food Safety & Quality Administrator to their well-established team. This is a newly created role due to business expansion.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and scheduling of audits, publication of documentation and review of information in line with the quality management system. You will also be the first line of contact for customer complaint investigations and where necessary, coordinate and assist in the investigation, resolution and communication to the customer.
Key Duties:
Customer investigations, trending and response for retailers and direct to customer.
Provide a launch, withdrawal and management service for QMS documentation.
Actively participate in the management (and completion of) traceability challenges, mass balances and product reviews, coordinating all departments during external audits and presenting information to the auditor within the designated timeframe.
Ensuring regulatory Food Safety standards and 3rd party auditing standards such as BRC and IFS are met by managing the Internal Audit system, identifying and publishing areas of non-conformance against third party standards.
Conduct investigations as requested by the Technical Director or delegate.
Identify areas for improvement within the factory environment, working alongside production to ensure Food Safety and Quality is maintained at all times.
The scheduling of external audits and co-ordination of gathering evidence to close out any non-conformances in accordance with the agreed timescales.
Respond to general customer and sales support queries
Qualifications and Training:
A minimum of level 3 Food Safety certification or minimum 3 years within the food industry in a similar role
Experience of internal auditing against customer and 3rd party accreditation standards.
Introduction to HACCP
Good level of English and Maths
Salary/Hours:
Monday-Friday (08:00-17:00)
GBP23,000 basic salary
