Kinnerton Confectionery, part of the Zertus UK & Ireland group, is one of the market leaders for chocolate licensing and seasonal confectionery in the UK. We transform chocolate into Easter Eggs, Advent Calendars, Lollipops and Chocolate Bars depicting the nation's children's favourite characters and we are currently on the hunt for a Technical Manager to join our team. Innovation is at the heart of our Business and we launch exciting new products on a regular basis under our own Brands and for major retailers. We also play a significant part in the 'free from' market.

We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Inventory Controller to join our team, based at our Factory in Fakenham. We're seeking an Inventory Controller who is system and process savvy and holds Inventory management experience within Food or FMCG.

The main duties of the Inventory Controller may include, but are not limited to:

Variances:

* To review and understand cause of stock/material variances and work with all relevant functions to identify and resolve issues to prevent recurrences.

* To audit PI checks.

Stock statuses:

* To work with Technical, Procurement and Planning to ensure a comprehensive and timely review of short shelf and expired raw materials, WIP and packaging and ensure that system statuses are correct including raising disposal requests as appropriate.

* To work with customer service team on short life Finished Goods highlighting stock at risk of obsolescence.

* To review stock statuses and ensure that all stock as appropriate statuses and BBE dates.

* To review and action all stock exception reports including but not exclusively: Hold & Repairs, Posrel, Raws and Expired, Auto Expiration and Incorrect stock rotation reports.

Obsolete stock:

* To work with the finance team on stock obsolescence identifying slow moving stock/no stock and appropriate actions including review of MOQs on purchasing and expediting.

QADisp and Secure Disposals:

* To ensure that QADisp stock is approved and promptly disposed of and secure disposals are managed correctly.

Allergen segregation:

* To monitor stock statuses to ensure that products are not exposed to risk of allergen contamination through the warehousing and line feeding processes and highlighting if such an issue has occurred in a timely manner to prevent impact on planned production/deliveries.

Reporting, processes, and procedures:

* To improve existing processes and management of stock accuracy in terms of quantity, status and location including writing SOPs as appropriate.

* To review and issue stock projection reports highlighting risks.

Ideally, the successful Inventory Controller will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential:

* Stock management experience.

* Analytical and numerate

* Able to drive improvements and solutions through targeted actions.

* Proficient in Excel and databases.

* Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly at all levels in the organization.

* Ability to deliver results through direct reports and also by influencing stakeholders.

Desirable:

* Continuous improvement skills

* Experience in other areas of supply chain.

* Knowledge of QAD and Qlikview.
