Based in Solihull the Payroll Services team are now recruiting for an Apprentice. Reporting to the Payroll Manager you learn all aspects of payroll process administration. We are exceptionally busy office with both weekly and monthly payrolls, therefore you need to be naturally confident as you will be based in the payroll team dealing with colleagues and associates across the Adecco Group UK&I.

For this role it is essential you have good all-round IT skills, but most importantly confidence and a good working attitude. Our office is fun but very hard-working - so you need to be robust. This really is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and learn all aspects of payroll administration. This will ideally suit a school/college leaver to work with our chosen training supplier and work towards an NVQ level 2 Business Administration .

The role will include:

To answer/deal with queries, both face to face and via the telephone, take messages and pass them on to the relevant member of the team in an appropriate and timely manner
To maintain filing systems in line with organisations policies and procedures
Data input of financial information
Inputting payroll figures
Running reports
To assist with the ordering and maintenance of stock supplies (specific to role as appropriate i.e. letterhead)
Attend and take part in team meetings & regular reviews with line manager etc
To prepare for and attend assessment meetings and participate in relevant training programmes as required
To complete all mandatory training as required
Complete outbound calling to drive customer experience (including the on-boarding process)
Provide general office and cross team process support where required, including scanning and post
Other such duties as may be required from time to time in line with the grading of the post and NVQ requirements

Requirements:

Minimum if 4 GSCE's or equivalent (this must include A - D in Maths and English)
Competent user of computer software packages in particular Microsoft Office
A track record of high levels of attendance and punctuality
A willingness to develop and respond positively to change
Committed to completion of the apprenticeship
A commitment to take responsibility for self development
A positive 'can do' attitude
Good communication skills
Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office applications, email and the internet
Ability and willingness to work as part of a team with a flexible attitude
