SQL Technical Support - 24/7 shift
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SQL Technical Support to work for an award winning software provider and build a long term progressive career.
You will be supporting clinical software providing vital support services to the customers.
This position is a customer facing role which provides software support as part of the Service Delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incident triage, assessing and identifying risk levels on support requests, and providing investigation and analysis of technical incidents, to provide solutions quickly and efficiently. You will be working directly with customers, providing them with regular updates throughout the process. In addition you will also be involved new deployments and upgrades.
Essential Requirements for the SQL Technical Support :
* Ability to work a 24/7 shift pattern
* Proven experience in a 1st/ 2nd line support service desk environment, preferably in an ITIL environment.
* good knowledge and experience of SQL server with the ability to write basic SQL database queries
* Operating System administration - Windows Server 2012 or 2016
* proven ability to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems in a creative and efficient manner.
* VMware vSphere & vCenter configuration and administration (v6.5 above)
* Enterprise Storage administration
* Vendor patching (Software & Firmware)
* MS Azure Management & Administration
* NLB Device Management & Configuration (Kemp Preferred)
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to write technical documentation
