Residential Childcare Worker
We are working closely with an outstanding Independent therapeutic children's home in North Norfolk to help recruit a Residential Childcare Worker.
This is an extremely rewarding job which allows the Childcare worker to provide care, education and therapy to children and young people who are suffering from trauma. As the Childcare Worker you will be passionate about children and their ongoing development whilst remaining resilient with challenging behaviours and complex needs.
You will have a strong team around you for support and training towards qualifications will be offered.

Duties include;
* To contribute to children's care plans, their review and implementation.
* To ensure that children's views and wishes are sought and acted upon where appropriate.
* To keep abreast of changes in policy, practice, legislation and research relating to residential childcare.
* To gain a working knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and The National Minimum Standards.
* Subject to the approval of the Registered Manager or Responsible Individual, to plan, support and develop local initiatives designed to meet the needs of the children.
* To ensure that high quality records are kept are maintained and reports are produced within time-frames.
* To ensure that services are provided in accordance with the Company's Policies and Procedures, equal opportunities and objectives of quality assurance.
* To attend and contribute to team meetings including monthly psychiatry consults
* To undertake other appropriate duties as may be required
The Childcare Worker will need to be flexible with work hours. To have the flexibility to work 365 days of the year and 7 days a week, including bank holidays and other holidays such as Christmas.
The Childcare Worker will work a 3 day shift pattern on a rota.
Hours will predominately be 8.30am to 9.30pm and will in future include sleep-in duties on a rota basis including weekends.
