Experienced Production Supervisor with ILM level 3 required for a senior position within a large and reputable Telford based plant. Competitive salary, excellent overtime availability and additional earning potential. You will be joining a diverse shift team of coordinators, engineers and operators from various sectors. Full autonomy to make role your own.
JOB OUTLINE
Fully supporting the Shift Manager in the development of the department's performance, focusing on mentoring, guidance and support. A go-to senior member of the team for any issues and suggestions, and offering solutions. Delivering KPIs in line with targets, championing quality of performance, and ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to and exceeded.
THE ROLE:
* Reporting to the Shift manager, delivering KPI's in line with targets.
* Focus on quality/efficiency in day to day processes, using the likes of Kaizen and 5S
* Understand, motivate and enhance your team (ensuring the most effective balance of skills and experience), creating a culture of recognising success and dealing with underperformance consistently and with resolve.
* Providing clear and consistent two-way communication to all team members, supported by other departments.
* Take responsibility for adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental policies and regulations, working closely with the HSE department..
* Work closely with other departments whether they are directly within your supply chain or not.
THE CANDIDATE:
* Production Supervisor or Team Leader experience in a manufacturing or production industry essential.
* ILM Level 3 essential
* 5S and Kaizen experience
* Previous success in exceeding KPI targets
* Experience in carrying out appraisal, reviews and disciplinaries
* Strong organisation skills- building, motivating and leading teams in fast paced environments
* Strong Management and people management skills
* IOSH qualified
