A Local Authority based in Tyne & Wear is looking for a Highways Design Engineer to join their team.
This is a full time, temporary position and the successful candidate will have Experience in the design of highway works and knowledge of current technical standards and ideally extensive experience in a similar role and CAD.
The purpose of the role is to provide project management and design support for the effective delivery and supervision of internally and externally funded highway design projects and other relevant work-streams within the Infrastructure and Commercial Section of the Infrastructure, Planning and Transportation Service.
The main responsibilities for the role include:
To assist i the design, project management and supervision of various Highway and infrastructure projects.
To assist in delivery of services that provide value for money in compliance with Council procedures.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between GBP18 and GBP20 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. GBP470 and GBP510 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
