Please be aware this is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months, working 35 hours (5 days) per week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Media Team on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months as a Media Team Administrator.

Cats Protection is the UK's leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2019 we helped around 191,000 cats and kittens, an average of more than 520 per day.

The Media Team is tasked with generating positive coverage about Cats Protection so we can maintain and enhance our reputation as the UK's leading feline welfare charity. This includes handling enquiries from journalists, working with celebrities and managing campaigns and events such as the National Cat Awards, ensuring Cats Protection achieves the recognition it deserves.

As the Media Team Administrator, you'll be assisting the Media Officers and volunteers in various PR activities across the charity. You will oversee the collation of press and publicity material as well as assisting with events. You'll effectively recruit, induct and support National Cat Centre based Media Officer Administration volunteers including recruitment campaigns, identifying volunteer learning and developing needs.

The successful candidate will have experience of using media monitors and producing daily media coverage reports. You'll produce monthly coverage summaries and campaign analysis. You'll have great admin support experience including organising meetings, taking minutes and processing invoices. If you have experience of supporting a large national event with knowledge of news media, this could be your perfect job!
