The Finance & Accountancy Division at SF Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a business based in North Leicestershire in assisting with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. Working closely with the Finance Director, this is an superb opportunity for an Qualified Finance Professional who has ideally trained at a top 15 practice firm and has minimum of 2 years PQE. We are keen to speak to ambitious Qualified Finance Professionals wanting to join a thriving and growing business.
As the Financial Accountant, you key responsibilities will include:
• Ownership of statutory accounting process
• Monthly financial accounting for various entities
• Preparation of annual and interim consolidated financial statements under EU IFRS. This will include preparing the consolidation and relevant disclosure notes, as well as drafting board papers on key issues where appropriate
• In depth analysis of monthly financial reports
• Coordination of statutory accounts process for subsidiaries (reporting under FRS 101/102)
• Preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordination of transition to new accounting standards, including assessment of likely impact, drafting relevant disclosures and communicating changes to divisional finance teams
• Maintain and ensure delivery of timetable for all aspects of internal and external reporting requirements
• Management of the Group's tax affairs
• Yearend accounts preparation including yearend and tax compliance
• Involvement in day-to-day treasury management including liquidity management, consolidating and reviewing cash flow forecasts and reporting on the Group's securitisation facility
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Ad hoc project and analytical work as directed by the Finance Director
The Successful Candidate:
• ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified - Ideally trained at a top 15 practice firm and has minimum of 2 years PQE
• Would suit individual looking at first/ second move into industry
• Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of both IFRS and FRS 101/102
• Exposure to group consolidations would be advantageous
• Time management skills
• Attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
• A willingness to be hand-on and to drive change and improvement
• An ability to work independently and take responsibility for one's own work
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
This brilliant Financial Accounting role can offer a market leading base salary of GBP45k - GBP52k, depending on experience
