Customer Service Adviser / Valeter

Mon & Fri 8.00am to 5.30pm, and some Saturday morning on a rota basis
Our client is the largest independently owned car, van, minibus and truck rental company in Yorkshire. They offer a wide range of vehicles from small economy cars, vans, luxury MPV's, and 17 seat Minibus' to trucks from several branches throughout the region.
They now have a unique opportunity for a Customer Service Adviser / Rental Assistant who can help manage the Vehicle Rental Desk as part of a small, positive and friendly team.
What will you be doing as Customer Service Adviser / Rental Assistant?
This is a customer facing role where you will be taking ownership of all enquiries from private customers and local business clients, both face to face and on the phone. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the whole vehicle rental process from beginning to end, including liaising with other department and branches for the effective management of the fleet.
* Dealing with queries and providing advice & assistance in relation vehicle rentals.
* Booking vehicles in and out, managing procedures for vehicle insurance and conducting the necessary driver checks.
* Travelling to other depots in Yorkshire as required to support other Rental Teams
* Other general administrative tasks as required to support the Rental Manager.
* Valeting a wide range of vehicles to a very high standard.
* Delivering vehicles to customers to agreed times and service levels.
About you:
* You will be a polite and professional customer focussed individual who is comfortable in dealing with businesses and the general public with a polite telephone manner.
* You will have excellent numeracy and IT skills, be able to work coolly and efficiently under pressure and cope with multiple tasks and changing priorities. Some familiarity with car and van specifications is desired, although full training will be given.
* You must have a full driving licence C1 and D1 categories would be an advantage.

Salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience.
