GI Group are currently recruiting for 10 x Peak multi-drop van drivers in Norwich. Working Monday to Friday. Starting between (phone number removed)am and averaging 8-10 hours per day. GBP12.50 per hour PAYE with overtime rate of GBP13.50 paid after 8 hours per day. Covering various routes across Norfolk with deliveries and collections of between 40 and 60 per day.
The role will include (but is not limited to):
* Loading the vehicle in an order that matches the deliveries you'll make
* Planning the route
* Delivering to a schedule, on time, to residential addresses (around 80 per day)
* Scanning items on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues
* Updating delivery records
The successful candidate must have:
* Previous experience of multi drop driving - at least 6 months
* A full and valid UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than 6 penalty points is essential, please note you will be required to show this at assessment.
* Have great communication and customer service skills
* You must enjoy driving, even at peak hours and be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg
* Excellent practical driving skills
* The ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
* The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork
* Please note that you must be flexible to work the occasional Saturday.
