Leader Education is currently recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a school in the Hartlepool area.
The school is committed to supporting the learning and development of its pupils, ensuring their individual learning and behavioural needs are met. The school are seeking a driven and engaging candidate to join their team on a long-term basis. A candidate who is Team Teach trained is highly desirable.
The school are seeking a candidate with a genuine passion for working with young people, with a resilient and positive approach when faced with challenging behaviour.
The successful applicant must have:
?? The ability to maintain a positive approach when faced with behaviours that challenge
?? Experience effectively demonstrating behaviour management strategies
?? Successful experience supporting young people with a range of learning needs such as ASD,
MLD, PMLD, VI, HI, SpLD, ODD, AS, SEMH, and PD.
?? A current Team Teach qualification or the availability to attend our next training course
?? Excellent interpersonal skills
?? A non-judgmental approach
?? The ability to motivate, inspire, and encourage learners to strive for excellence in all areas
