The role of QS-Commercial Manager sits within the Marine Division for a major glbal Industrial Services Client primarily based at Plymouth and consists of the following:
ABOUT THE POSITION
* Compiling weekly and monthly reconciliations and reports.
* Close liaison with site teams regarding effects of operations on financial performance.
* Management of project change and variations to contract.
* Managing and updating robust commercial systems.
* Weekly face to face meetings with site teams and clients.
* Weekly updating of commercial trackers to monitor cost v sales performance.
* Managing rates of pay and billable rates in accordance with collective and industry legislation.
* Analysis of financial figures/reports and problem solving where necessary.
* Reacting to client demands and queries.
* Assist in the compilation of divisional quarterly reviews.
* Preparation of monthly sales and annual forward work forecasts.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Experience of early bid engagement with client and wider operational teams.
* Experience of working within a marine industrial environment is highly desirable.
* Experience of the industrial painting industry is highly desirable.
* Estimating experience preferred.
* Experience across all industrial service disciplines would be advantageous - Scaffolding, Blasting & Painting and Cleaning.
* Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office in general.
* Highly organised, possessing proven good time management skills.
* Strong communication skills are essential.
* Ideally degree qualified in a Commercial/QS discipline
