Buyer / Materials Controller
North Nottinghamshire

Our fabulous client is currently looking to recruit an experienced buyer - this is a fabulous opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within buying / materials control.

Working within a team of 4 and being repsonsible for your own accounts
Ensureing products are purchased at the best possible price within the correct timeframes
Negotiate with suppliers to strengthen the commercial position of the company
Ensure stock levels are managed and consistent with internal customer requirements
Develop relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities
Report on any trends and suggest improvements
Identify opportunities to improve on internal and external supplier relationships and services
Work towards company targets and overall goals
The ideal candidate will have -
Experience within a buying / materials control position
Good commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills
The ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
Good use of Excel and MS Office packages
