Compliance Officer / COLP Solicitor is required by a modern, Specialist Law Firm based in Macclesfield.
The COLP position is to provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organisation and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
The ideal COLP Solicitor needs to ensure that systems and controls are in place to enable the firm, its managers and employees to comply with their obligations under:
Any terms and conditions under which the firm is authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to provide legal services
The prevailing SRA Handbook, apart from the SRA Accounts Rules 2011 or 2018 (SRA AR 2011)
Any other relevant legislation, regulations and rules that apply to the firm, its managers, interest holders or employees
Required Experiences:
3 years' PQE
Experience of working as either a COLP or in a Legal Compliance function.
Excellent understanding of the SRA Handbook.

Proven legal experience as a qualified Solicitor with minimum 3yrs PQE.

Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment (Essential)
Meticulous attention to detail (Essential)
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines (Essential)
