SEND/ PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Leicester LE5
Salary: Dependent on experience
Do you have a desire to support Special needs students in schools?
Enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants are required to support the learning and development of children and young people within an SEND specific school in Leicester. The available roles are working on either a part-time or full-time basis. Degree-Six are able to offer flexible working contracts to fit around individual needs. The school has a primary and secondary phase and specialises in students with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
These roles would be a great fit for individuals with the following experience:
Experience working within SEND schools or settings supporting children or young people
Knowledge or experience working with PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties)
Experience working with students with challenging behaviour
Full driving licence (not essential)
Team Teach training or certificate
Role and responsibilities:
Working closely in small groups or on a 1:1 basis with students that require additional support in their learning
Promoting positive choices
Offer wellbeing support to students
