Our public sector client, based in Glasgow, have a requirement for HR Advisers for a temporary assignment from 02/11/2020 - 31/3/2021, with possible extension up to 3 months.

This is a 35 hour week role and will be based from home initially. Travel, including overnight stays and unsocial hours, may be required.

Applicants must be willing to apply for a Standard Disclosure, at their own cost. Interviews for the post will take place on 23rd October.

Rate of pay will be 148.05 - GBP158.73 per day.

The successful candidates will support the Shared Human Resources team to provide an HR advisory and support service to managers and employees on recruitment and selection, reward and remuneration, employee relations, attendance managements, workforce planning and HR metrics.

This role will be responsible for:
- providing an in-house advisory service to senior managers and employees covering the full range of HR operations issues, providing guidance and expert knowledge to support effective decision making.
- providing direct support to managers regarding recruitment and selection processes and campaigns.
- leading on the delivery of allocated HR improvement projects and / or carrying out project work as required.
- writing HR policies, procedures and guidance to ensure compliance with legislation.
- seeking opportunities to develop and streamline processes.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- a degree or equivalent qualification in human resources (HR) related subject at SCQF level 10 or above or significant current HR experience that demonstrates the membership standards of the CIPD experience assessment.
- ideally you will be registered with the CIPD.
- evidence of implementing people management policies and procedures.
- track record of dealing with case management support including attendance, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues.
- ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
- working knowledge and experience of negotiating and collaborating with trade unions
