We are looking for a female support worker to join an established enabling team in our supported living services based in the Bedlington and Ashington area of Northumberland. The contract will be a permanent contract for 15 hours per week and there will be opportunity for additional hours when required.
You will be providing 1-1 support to people with a learning difficulty on 5 days on, 2 days off rota and this will include weekends and bank holidays.
The people we support do not have their own vehicles and rely on staff vehicles and taxis. Therefore, a driver with business insurance is essential (Mencap provide mileage expenses for this service).
The people we support like to go out for lunch, drives and walks in the country, music, cinema, shopping and support to medical and other appointments, along with general living support and guidance.
