General Manager – Premium Coffee Business 
Belfast, Co. Antrim (occasional travel required) 

The Company 

Our client works with some of the world’s best coffee producers to create unrivalled coffee experiences for their customers. Founded in 1993, they are now widely recognised as one of the leading players in the speciality coffee market. 

Based in Belfast, the organisation supplies high-quality coffee equipment, training and support to specialty coffee shops and premium hotels across Ireland and the UK.

They are currently looking for a General Manager to join them and oversee their operations.

The Role 

As the General Manager, you will sustain our client’s current operations and profitability, as well as further developing sustainable profitable growth. 

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the business, including Sales & Marketing, Operations, Systems and Customer Support, ensuring that commercial returns are achieved and risks are minimised. 

Leading a team of 30 staff based in Belfast, you will: 

- Have full P&L responsibility for the business 
- Develop the existing team, customer base and supplier relationships
- Lead the team to innovate, develop new opportunities and improve operations 
- Oversee the implementation of the busines plan
- Ensure that daily KPIs are met and any issues are swiftly resolved 
- Build on existing plans to expand the business outside of Ireland and the UK

About You

To be considered as the General Manager, you will need: 

- At least five years’ experience in a senior management role 
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to advise and influence others 
- A strong customer focus 
- A degree (or equivalent) in business management, business development, finance or similar
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport 

You will also need demonstratable evidence of delivering effective service management within a multifunctional environment in at least two of the following areas:

- Contract negotiations and specifications
- Supplier relationship management
- The design and implementation of contract and/or service management procedures 
- Using IT solutions to deliver effective service management
- An understanding the UK and Europe premium coffee market
