Specific Job Description:
The clients Cyber Works Centre, in Gloucester, is undertaking a period of growth with multiple programmes in the Cyber Solutions and Spectrum Convergence domains delivering integrated cyber and electronic warfare solutions.
This period of growth offers new and exciting challenges for the team, offering opportunities to embrace new technologies and different software development practices.

The Research and Development team is currently seeking experienced embedded software engineers to join the team building an innovative new solution using the OpenCPI framework applications for Software Defined Radios to provide complex RF threat detection.
As a member of the team you will provide support to junior engineers and assist with the design and development of applications which provide digital signal processing and board support packages.

Required skills:
You will have proven experience of embedded software development with:
C++, VHDL and Verilog languages
Knowledge of digital signal processing
Ability to debug and review others code
Good Communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to work autonomously
Problem determination & resolution
You will have a logical and careful approach to analysing requirements, creating appropriate designs and developing implementation solutions, as well as an understanding of the role of test in ensuring delivery of mature products.
You will have the ability to learn, the desire to be part of a team and be able to cope with a very busy and demanding role.

Preferably, the successfuly candidate will also have:
Experience of OpenCPI, including applications and workers
Experience of ADSB applications
Experience with jamming applications
Experience in board support package generation

The Software Engineer role will involve working on UK classified programmes the candidate must therefore be willing and able to obtain a security clearance
