Semi Senior Accountant

I am working with a small, modern and friendly accountancy practice based in Hexham, looking for a new team member to to become a fully qualified accountant.

They keep up with the latest technology and automate theeir processes as far as possible, so an interest in streamlining processes and ability to pick up new software is an advantage.

They are ideally looking for someone who is keen to build on existing basic accountancy skills, possibly AAT qualified and looking to complete their ACCA qualification.

This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week. The position is office-based however some of their staff are working from home some of the time due to the current situation. They would ensure that either from home or in the office you would be fully supported throughout your training.

Full training will be given, although some accountancy or bookkeeping experience is an advantage.

Their ideal candidate:

- Ideally knows the fundamentals of double-entry bookkeeping (although this not absolutely essential as full training will be provided)
- Is comfortable with using Excel, using formulas such as sum-ifs and v look-ups
- Is keen to learn
- Is confident in using technology and picks up new software easily (and can self-learn to a certain extent)
- Is deadline driven and focused
