Our HR department currently has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced HR Professional to join our HR Shared Service Centre team (HRSSC) in Preston, Lancashire. Whilst based in Preston, we adopt a flexible working approach with the opportunity for the successful candidate to work from home. In the role of HR Advisor and project lead you will be required to offer support to the Head of HRSSC by coordinating HR projects and assisting with the implementation of HR processes throughout the business. An element of this role requires data analysis to identify trends and process improvements, so it's important for candidates to be proficient in data manipulation and report building.
Past experience in the effective management of HR projects and implementing process improvements is an essential part of this role; as too is a good solid knowledge of employment law. You will need to be an excellent communicator and have an approachable and considered approach to your work.
HR Level 5 CIPD qualification is desirable or at least 5 years working in a HR Senior Advisory role.
Key Responsibilities and attributes
* Utilising strong project management skills to ensure execution of key initiatives.
* Supporting managers in the implementation of project outcomes
* Supporting long-term business objectives through strategic project support
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders within the organisation
* Presenting project updates in a clear and concise manner at business meetings
* Building a strong understanding of HRMI and PowerBI to maximise data knowledge
* Producing audits and reports in a timely manner and taking appropriate action
* Manipulating data to produce easily understood data reports to help identify trends and solutions.
* To act as a conduit between the HRSSC and HR Systems team to efficiently deliver E-HR solutions.
* Involvement in TUPE and redundancy related matters, providing expert information and guidance to the business and all employees
* Ensuring compliance with employment law
* Updating policies and procedures
* Supporting the HRSSC and engage with the business in relation to HR matters
* Engaging with the business to move to a self service model via HR Toolkits to create an independent and self sufficient management workforce
* Playing a proactive role in developing the service offered by the HRSSC.
* Providing an Advisory role in the absence of Advisors due to holiday/increase business activity.
