Excellent career-progression opportunity for a Product Owner, ideally with eCom / Travel Technology experience, to join a global leading brand. The Product Owner will work in a role that serves as the primary liaison between the business owners and IT groups on development projects.

The Role:

The Product Owner will be responsible for gathering requirements from the business and working with both the Development and QA teams to ensure that the functionality being built meets the defined vision. The Product Owner will also be responsible for setting realistic expectations among our business users and assisting with release notes, training, UAT and support for development releases.

Our ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to shape project, elicit requirements, and retain ownership of projects requirements through to delivery’ supporting implementation and the handover of the new systems and processes into business ownership and applications support. This candidate will be an excellent communicator, analytical and a big picture thinker.

Responsibilities:

+ Work closely with business owners to envision and define new enhancements and features
+ Establish efficient business processes to work in tandem with technology
+ Attend and participate in daily stand ups
+ Provide training to the trainers and/or end users on functionality of new development releases
+ Own and manage backlog(s) of IT feature requests & enhancements
+ Assist the QA teams in building test plans and scenarios
+ Provide support to end users and Application Support team as needed
+ Responsible for defining which features will be included in application releases
+ Assist with scheduling releases and defining project timelines
+ Facilitate communication from business users to developers to help assure that desired application functionality is being met
+ Participate in process improvement planning and metrics
+ Other duties as assigned

About You:

+ 3+ years experience working on large-scale software development projects
+ 3+ years experience with creating documentation for communication with varied audiences
+ 1+ years experience capturing and creating user requirements/stories
+ 1+ years experience working within Agile, Lean or similar methodologies

+ Experience in the travel industry
