Our client, a business supplies company, is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join their team.
As the Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for all customers and prospects within your geographical area (west coast of Scotland) and achieve the sales and GP target for your territory.
Key responsibilities
* Achieve the sales and GP target by developing accounts and identifying new gap fill business
* Ensure compliance to all company initiatives are achieved to time scale
* Complete account reviews quarterly, 6 monthly or on an annual basis depending on customer requirement basis to increase retention
* Understand and work the contract life cycle, providing confidence through a proactive approach
* Review accounts on a regular basis to maximise gross profit while ensuring the customer benefits from alternatives and savings
* Develop a pipeline of prospects on CRM and be responsible for the ownership of CRM for your existing and prospect accounts to ensure sales targets are achieved
Key skills required
* Proven track record within a B2B sales environment with emphasis on solution selling, experience in an office supplies environment preferred
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to look for win-win solutions
* Excellent presentation skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and drive success through your existing customer base and new business
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong business-based relationships
* High proficiency IT skillset, including the use of CRM systems, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
