This Mechanical Design Engineers job is based in Somerset, commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Clevedon, Weston-Super-Mare, Swindon, Bath and Yeovil.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be have the ability to perform engineering calculations and basic FEA in support of the design along with the capability to use CAD - Catia for 3D modelling. As you would expect from a GBPMulti-billion organisation there is fantastic internal career development opportunities.
The main responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer job include:
*Design and develop all aspects of the product range.
*Perform tolerance and DFMA analyses.
*Manage technical data.
*Perform functional studies and create system specifications.
Key experience or preferable skills for the Mechanical Design job include:
*Knowledge of P&IDs.
*Positive can-do team focused attitude.
*Strong Catia V5 3D CAD knowledge or similar package.
