Absolute is operating as a recruitment agency for the supply of permanent opportunities.

Our customer is a highly successful designer and supplier of electronic circuit boards to the telecoms, datacoms and security industries, and supplies approx. 2m circuits per year to over 3000 customers in over 60 countries around the world many who are household names such as Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Hitachi, Siemens, Broadcom, Bosch, Bose etc.

Due to retirement in 18 months, they are looking to recruit an electronics engineer who, after significant training, will be in a position to design, develop, program and build the complex equipment used to test our products in mass production.

After a suitable training period the role will include:

Designing and developing complex and highly reliable ATE systems that are used by their UK based manufacturers to verify that all products meet the electronic specification listed in datasheets.

Supervising the construction of new test systems and interfaces.

Maintaining full documentation.

Occasionally providing engineering support to existing test systems and subcontractors.

Requirements:

Degree / HND or equivalent in electronics

Experience of developing complex hardware and software systems

Embedded microprocessor experience, C++

Power supplies, DC/DC's, signal measurement, CAD

Analog circuit design.

System level debug.

This role will suit young, ambitious engineer who would like to further their career in electronics - an electronic design engineer who will be designing test equipment from scratch.

A competitive basic salary of GBP30 - 40,000 is on offer, plus the opportunity to earn up to 15% per year in company performance based bonuses, auto enrolment pension, and healthcare, plus 25 days holiday.
